HomeProductsDerma range

Dermatology medicines are a 16,000 crore rupee market in India, growing about 8 per cent a year, and fungal infection of the skin has become the most common reason for a visit to a skin clinic in the country. Our catalogue carries 106 products in this range: 13 topical corticosteroids and tacrolimus, 25 steroid combinations with antifungal and antibacterial agents, 23 antifungal and antiviral creams, lotions, tablets and capsules, 7 antibacterial, antiseptic and anaesthetic preparations, 8 acne products, 9 psoriasis, keratolytic and emollient preparations, 8 pigmentation and sun protection products and 13 products for scabies, itch, dandruff and hair, made in the external preparations section at Panchkula, with the oral antifungals from the tablet and capsule sections.

  • Why this range. The market figures, the fungal infection burden and the combination bans of 2018 and 2025 that decide which derma products a marketing company can still build on.
  • Why this plant for it. 106 products already on the licence, 20 packs manufactured for clients, a cream and ointment section with 40 million tubes a year of capacity, and the oral antifungals from the same plant.
  • The full catalogue. Every product with composition, form and pack sizes.

Why manufacture the range at this plant

What a marketing company gets from Vibcare Healthcare for a derma range

The molecules are already on the licence
All 106 products in the catalogue, including luliconazole, eberconazole, amorolfine, sertaconazole, halobetasol, tacrolimus, ozenoxacin, azelaic acid and the hydroquinone, tretinoin and fluocinolone cream, are on the plant’s manufacturing licence. There is no wait for a state endorsement before the first batch.
A section built for creams, ointments, gels and lotions
Creams and ointments are made in a cream and ointment manufacturing plant from NPM Machinery with manufacturing and storage vessels, filled and sealed on an automatic tube filling machine from Pacmac Solutions into laminate and aluminium tubes from 5 g to 30 g, and cartoned in the same section, with a capacity of 40 million tubes a year. Lotions, topical solutions and shampoos are filled in bottles. See external preparations manufacturing.
The oral antifungals from the same plant
Itraconazole capsules, terbinafine, fluconazole, ketoconazole and griseofulvin tablets and acyclovir tablets are made in the tablet and capsule sections, so a fungal infection range of creams and oral treatment comes from one manufacturer, one licence and one certificate of analysis format.
Proof in the packs
20 products in this range have been manufactured for marketing companies under their own brands, with our name as manufacturer on each pack.
A plant certified in 2024
WHO-GMP certified on 24 October 2024 and GMP certified under Revised Schedule M on 14 November 2024, with GLP-certified laboratories and a separate microbiology laboratory. Vendor audits by your quality team are by appointment; Chandigarh airport is 35 km away.
45 to 60 days from artwork
Dispatch takes 45 to 60 days from the day the artwork is finalised, for the first batch and for repeat orders. Tubes, cartons and labels are printed to your artwork.

What a derma range demands from a plant, and what we do

The technical points of this range and how the plant handles them

Assay of a low-dose active in a tube
A 10 g tube of clobetasol 0.05% cream holds 5 mg of active, and a mometasone 0.1% cream 10 mg. Every batch is assayed by HPLC on the plant’s Shimadzu system, with samples drawn from three levels of the manufacturing vessel so that the content is uniform through the batch, not only in the sample.
Creams that stay creams
Ketoconazole, luliconazole, fusidic acid and steroid creams are oil-in-water emulsions. The base is made in the manufacturing vessel, the active is added at the stage the formulation specifies, and viscosity, pH and appearance are checked on every batch before filling. Stability studies in Thermolab chambers show that the emulsion does not separate over the shelf life.
Preservation and microbial limits
Water-based creams, lotions and gels carry a preservative system and are tested for microbial limits on every batch in the plant’s separate microbiology laboratory before release.
Light- and air-sensitive actives
Tretinoin, hydroquinone, adapalene and minoxidil degrade in light and air. These products are filled in aluminium or barrier laminate tubes and amber bottles, and the shelf life printed on the pack is set from the plant’s own stability data, not assumed.
Gels and ointments
Clindamycin, adapalene and nicotinamide gels are made on a carbomer base with pH and clarity checked on every batch. Ointments such as clobetasol with salicylic acid, mupirocin, povidone iodine and tacrolimus are made on a paraffin base by the hot process, with homogeneity checked before filling.
Tubes, bottles and artwork
Laminate and aluminium tubes from 5 g to 30 g are filled and sealed on the Pacmac machine; a tube size already running goes straight to quotation and a new size is quoted with its tooling. Lotions, topical solutions, shampoos and minoxidil solutions go in bottles with the closure the product needs. Tubes, cartons, labels and leaflets are printed to your artwork.
Oral antifungals
Itraconazole is filled as pellets in hard gelatin capsules and tested for dissolution on Electrolab apparatus; terbinafine, fluconazole, ketoconazole and griseofulvin tablets are compressed and coated in the tablet section. See capsule manufacturing and tablet manufacturing.
Schedule H and ceiling prices
The topical corticosteroids in this range are Schedule H drugs, the list having been extended on 23 March 2018, so their packs carry the prescription symbol and warning. Clotrimazole, fluconazole, terbinafine, betamethasone, mupirocin, permethrin and acyclovir are in the National List of Essential Medicines and carry NPPA ceiling prices. We print the MRP you specify; it must stay within the ceiling for those products.

Send your product list and you will receive a written proposal from the plant at Panchkula.

Labelling
Every pack carries the generic name in the prominence required by Rule 96, the manufacturer’s name, licence number and batch details, the Schedule H symbol and warning on topical corticosteroids, and the storage and use statements the product needs, such as sun avoidance on tretinoin and hydroquinone creams.
Release
Every batch is tested in the GLP-certified laboratory, including assay, microbial limits and the physical tests for the dosage form, and released with a certificate of analysis that travels with the consignment.

Why derma is the range to build

The market, the disease burden and the regulatory changes, with sources

A 16,000 crore market growing 8 per cent a year
The dermatology medicine market in India grew from 12,000 crore rupees in 2021 to more than 16,000 crore rupees in 2025, about 8 per cent a year. Antifungals are about 18 per cent of it and topical antibiotics about 15 per cent, and both are growing at 12 to 13 per cent a year, above the market rate. A study at 13 dermatology centres across India screened 41,421 patients and found fungal infection of the skin in 17.3 per cent of them; 27.9 per cent of those had chronic or recurrent infection, half had a family member with the same infection, and half had used a steroid cream on it. Luliconazole, terbinafine, itraconazole and ketoconazole are the products this burden is treated with, and all of them are in the catalogue. Source: Shenoy and others, Mycoses, 2021.
The steroid-combination shelf was rewritten by the regulator
On 7 September 2018 the Ministry of Health prohibited more than a dozen topical steroid combinations, including clobetasol with neomycin, miconazole and clotrimazole, clobetasol with ofloxacin, ornidazole and terbinafine, and betamethasone with neomycin, tolnaftate and iodochlorhydroxyquinoline. On 23 March 2018 fourteen more topical corticosteroids, beclomethasone and desonide among them, were placed in Schedule H, so that every topical steroid in this range is a prescription product. In April 2025 the Drugs Controller General of India directed state licensing authorities to stop the manufacture of 35 unapproved combinations, including the ketoconazole, neomycin, iodochlorhydroxyquinoline, tolnaftate and clobetasol cream. A marketing company now needs its steroid and antifungal products from a plant whose licence carries the approved versions. Cosmetic dermatology grows at 15 to 18 per cent a year
Pigmentation, acne, sun protection and hair products, the cosmetic side of dermatology, are about a third of the market and are growing at 15 to 18 per cent a year against 8 to 10 per cent for medical dermatology. Hydroquinone and tretinoin creams, sunscreen lotion, adapalene and clindamycin gels and minoxidil solutions are in the catalogue. Source: KPMG, January 2026.
One range, three kinds of prescriber
Derma products are prescribed by dermatologists, by general practitioners and physicians for the fungal infections and eczemas they see every day, and are bought over the counter for dandruff, itch and sun protection. A marketing company that already calls on general practitioners with a pain or cold range adds a derma range to the same doctors and chemists.

Questions marketing companies ask

Answered from the plant

Which derma products can you manufacture under our brand?

All 106 products in the catalogue: creams, ointments, gels, lotions, topical solutions, a shampoo, a dusting powder, and the oral antifungal and antiviral tablets and capsules. If you need a composition that is not on the list, send it with the strength and pack; a product not yet on the licence needs the state authority’s endorsement before the first batch, which adds a few weeks.

Which tube sizes and materials do you fill?

Laminate and aluminium tubes from 5 g to 30 g. A tube size already running on the filling machine is quoted straight away; a new diameter or length is quoted with its change parts and lead time. Lotions, solutions and shampoos are filled in bottles.

Do you make the steroid and antifungal combinations that were banned?

No. The combinations prohibited on 7 September 2018 and those named in the CDSCO letter of April 2025 are not manufactured. The steroid combinations in the catalogue, such as clobetasol with miconazole, beclomethasone with clotrimazole and neomycin, and fusidic acid with mometasone, are the approved versions on the plant’s licence.

What shelf life do you give tretinoin and hydroquinone creams?

The shelf life printed on the pack comes from the plant’s own stability studies in Thermolab chambers for that product in that tube, and the data is available to your regulatory team on request.

What is the minimum quantity for a derma range?

One batch per product. The batch size depends on the product and tube size, and the written proposal states it against each product you ask for.

Can you match the formulation of a brand we already sell?

Send the reference product and its pack. For a product already on our licence the first batch follows the standard 45 to 60 day timeline; where the base or excipients differ from ours, the formulation team assesses the change before quoting, and any product not yet on the licence needs the state endorsement first.

Do you supply the documents our regulatory team needs?

Yes. Copies of the manufacturing licence and WHO-GMP certificate, the Site Master File, a certificate of analysis with every batch, and stability data on request. A quality agreement is signed after order confirmation.
