The technical points of this range and how the plant handles them
A narrow margin between a working dose and a toxic one
Phenytoin is the clearest case in this range: the gap between the dose that controls seizures and the dose that causes harm is small, and a batch that assays low or high matters to the patient within days. Every batch is assayed by HPLC on the plant’s Shimadzu system and tested for content uniformity, with samples drawn across the compression run rather than from one point in it.
Release profiles that have to hold for the whole day
Paroxetine prolonged-release tablets, pregabalin sustained-release tablets and duloxetine delayed-release capsules work only if the coating releases at the rate and the place the formulation intends. Dissolution is run on Electrolab apparatus at the pharmacopoeial time points on every batch, and the duloxetine pellets are tested in acid before the buffer stage to confirm the enteric coat held.
Orally disintegrating tablets
Risperidone and betahistine orally disintegrating tablets have to break up on the tongue in seconds and taste of nothing, which is a formulation problem and a packing problem at once. Disintegration time is checked on every batch and the tablets go into alu-alu blisters, because the same property that makes them disintegrate makes them pick up moisture from the air.
Hygroscopic and light-sensitive actives
Levetiracetam draws moisture and methylcobalamin degrades in light. These products are film coated where the formulation allows and packed in alu-alu or opaque blisters, with the pack chosen from the stability data rather than after it.
Diethylene glycol tested at three stages, in-house
The brivaracetam oral solution and the citicoline with piracetam syrup are made with glycerine, propylene glycol or sorbitol. The plant tests for diethylene glycol and ethylene glycol on its own Agilent gas chromatograph at three stages: every container of solvent before it is released to production, the bulk before filling, and the finished product before release.
Capsules filled with powder and with pellets
Pregabalin, gabapentin, fluoxetine and duloxetine are hard gelatin capsules; duloxetine is filled with enteric-coated pellets rather than powder. Fill weight is checked through the run on the capsule line and the capsules are polished and inspected before blistering. See capsule manufacturing.
Tablets in strengths that go up in small steps
Aripiprazole at 10, 15, 20 and 30 mg, oxcarbazepine at 150, 300, 450 and 600 mg and risperidone across its strengths are the same formulation at different weights, and a patient is titrated across them. The strengths are differentiated by colour and by pack so that a chemist and a patient can tell them apart, and the artwork is checked against the composition before the first batch.
Schedule H and ceiling prices
Every product in this range is a Schedule H prescription medicine and its pack carries the symbol and the warning. Amitriptyline, escitalopram, fluoxetine, sertraline, risperidone, levetiracetam and phenytoin are in the National List of Essential Medicines 2022 and carry NPPA ceiling prices. The terms every proposal states
Rate
The rate is quoted in writing, product by product, against your pack sizes and annual quantity. The plant is outside the hill-state budgetary-support scheme, so the rate you receive now is the rate after March 2027.
Minimum quantity
One batch per product. The batch size for each product is stated in the proposal.
Lead time
Dispatch takes 45 to 60 days from the day the artwork is finalised, for the first batch and for repeat orders.
Payment
An advance on the first order, and terms as mutually agreed after that.
Dispatch
To your depots in any state by road, with freight to your account.
Documents
A certificate of analysis with every batch, copies of the licences and certificates, the Site Master File for vendor qualification, stability data on request, and a quality agreement after order confirmation.

Prices, combinations and labelling
Fixed-dose combinations
Combinations are manufactured only where the combination is approved. The catalogue carries none of the prohibited neuro and psychiatry combinations, including gabapentin with mecobalamin, pyridoxine and thiamine, flupentixol with escitalopram, chlorpromazine with trihexyphenidyl, divalproex with levetiracetam or with oxcarbazepine, phenytoin with phenobarbitone, and the piracetam and betahistine combinations with ginkgo biloba and vinpocetine.
Schedule H and controlled substances
Every product in this range is labelled as a Schedule H prescription medicine with the generic name in the prominence required by Rule 96, the manufacturer’s name, licence number and batch details. The range carries no benzodiazepine and no substance scheduled under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
Release
Every batch is tested in the GLP-certified laboratory, including assay, content uniformity, dissolution for the modified-release products and the diethylene glycol and ethylene glycol tests on the oral liquids, and released with a certificate of analysis that travels with the consignment.

Two in three people with epilepsy are on no medicine at all
A door-to-door survey of 130,509 people across 96 villages in rural Gujarat found active epilepsy in 3.01 per 1,000, and of those, 66.6 per cent were not on an antiseizure medicine: 34.2 per cent had never started one and 32.3 per cent had stopped. Analysis of the National Mental Health Survey found a treatment gap of 84 per cent for any mental disorder among older adults in India, from 76.9 per cent for anxiety and stress-related disorders to 90.9 per cent for severe mental illness, with a median illness duration of 24 months before care. Epilepsy, depression, schizophrenia and neuropathic pain are treated for years, not weeks, and the patient returns to the same chemist every month. A range that refills on a fixed cycle is what makes a neuro division worth the field cost of building one.

Do you manufacture benzodiazepines or other controlled substances?
No. The range carries no benzodiazepine and nothing scheduled under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. If your range needs those molecules, they have to come from a plant licensed for them.

Yes. Risperidone and betahistine orally disintegrating tablets, paroxetine prolonged-release tablets, pregabalin sustained-release tablets and duloxetine delayed-release capsules are already on the licence, and each is released against its own dissolution or disintegration specification.
How do you handle a titration range where one product has four strengths?
As one formulation at four weights, with the strengths differentiated by colour and by pack, and the artwork checked against the composition before the first batch so that a chemist and a patient can tell 150 mg from 600 mg on the shelf.
What is the minimum quantity for a neuro range?
One batch per product. The batch size depends on the product and pack, and the written proposal states it against each product you ask for.
Can you match the formulation of a brand we already sell?
Send the reference product and its pack. For a product already on our licence the first batch follows the standard 45 to 60 day timeline; where the release profile or excipients differ from ours, the formulation team assesses the change before quoting, and any product not yet on the licence needs the state endorsement first.
Do you supply the documents our regulatory team needs?
Yes. Copies of the manufacturing licence and WHO-GMP certificate, the Site Master File, a certificate of analysis with every batch, dissolution data for the modified-release products, and stability data on request. A quality agreement is signed after order confirmation.
